The start of a new food festival in the peak district providing full production services.
The event was held at Hall Leys Park in Matlock on the 24th & 25th of August 2019, and hosted bands and acts such as: Acorn Roots, The Killaz, Water for Dogs, Jarra to name a few.
What we provided
The brief of the client was very open that we need to provide full production support for the event on the runup as well as during the event. This meant sorting out stage equipment tech specs and power for the event. We were also tasked with power distribution to the full site for all traders.
With all this in mind, we hired generators for the site providing a minimum of a 16a to every trader sometimes even supplying three phases when they required it.
For the stage side, we contacted our friends at Location audio who came and provided a really nice all weather stage 4m x 4m which was a nice size for the site.
With the sound system of choice being HK audio, the aim was we wanted a party atmosphere up to 15m from the stage but then for it to become more background after that point so you can still enjoy the entertainment but still be able to talk and enjoy the food.
There wasn't any easy way to get a traditional mix position in so we opted for a digital mixer rack our choice was a Soundcraft UI24r which we linked to our production site wifi enabling us to control it anywhere on the site.
Along with the amazing weather we had during the weekend which helped a lot the first year of the festival was a success welcoming a couple of thousand people each day, and enjoying the food, drink, and music provided.
